Anti-Mrcl antibodies enable researchers to detect and measure the Mrcl antigen in biological samples. This target is a reported synonym of the CLEC18A gene, which encodes C-type lectin domain family 18 member A. This protein is known to bind polysaccharides in a Ca(2+)-independent manner with a preferentially binding to fucoidan, beta-glucans and galactans. The human version of Mrcl has a canonical amino acid length of 446 residues and a protein mass of 49.6 kilodaltons, although 2 isoforms have been identified. It is reported to be localized in the ER, Golgi, and is secreted of cells. Indicated applications for Mrcl antibodies listed below include ELISA and Western Blot.
