Anti-KRTAP2-4 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein keratin associated protein 2-4. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 128 amino acid residues and a mass of 13.5 kDa. It is notably expressed in the middle/upper portions of the hair cortex, in the region termed the keratogenous zone. It is a member of the KRTAP type 2 protein family. Synonyms for this target antigen include high sulfur keratin-associated protein 2.4, keratin associated protein 2.1B, keratin-associated protein 2.4, and Keratin-associated protein 2.3. Flow Cytometry is the most common application for the KRTAP2-4 antibodies listed below. Western Blot and Immunohistochemistry are also common applications.
