Anti-Rutbc2 antibodies enable researchers to detect and measure the Rutbc2 antigen in biological samples. This target is a reported synonym of the SGSM1 gene, which encodes small G protein signaling modulator 1. This protein is known to function in GTPase activation, among other biological roles. The human version of Rutbc2 has a canonical amino acid length of 1148 residues and a protein mass of 129.7 kilodaltons, although 3 isoforms have been identified. It is reported to be localized in the membrane, cytoplasmic vesicles, Golgi, and cytoplasm of cells and widely expressed in many tissue types. Rutbc2 is a member of the RUTBC protein family.
