Anti-MLSTD1 antibodies enable researchers to detect and measure the MLSTD1 antigen in biological samples. This target is a reported synonym of the FAR2 gene, which encodes fatty acyl-CoA reductase 2. This protein is known to function in metabolic processes, among other biological roles. The human version of MLSTD1 has a canonical amino acid length of 515 residues and a protein mass of 59.4 kilodaltons, although 2 isoforms have been identified. It is reported to be localized in the peroxisomes of cells and widely expressed in many tissue types. MLSTD1 is a member of the Fatty acyl-CoA reductase protein family.
