Anti-RMD1 antibodies are used in antigen-specific immunodetection in biological samples. The target RMD1 is a known alias name of the protein required for meiotic nuclear division 1 homolog, encoded by the RMND1 gene in humans. This 449-amino acid residue protein is known to be required for mitochondrial translation, possibly by coordinating the assembly or maintenance of the mitochondrial ribosome. It is localized to the mitochondria of the cell. It is reported to be widely expressed in many tissue types. Indicated applications for RMD1 antibodies listed below include ELISA, Western Blot, and Immunohistochemistry.
