Anti-PP4C antibodies are protein reagents that detect specific antigens. The PP4C antigen is another term for the human protein protein phosphatase 4 catalytic subunit, encoded by the PPP4C gene. The protein is reported to be a protein phosphatase that is involved in many processes such as microtubule organization at centrosomes, maturation of spliceosomal snRNPs, apoptosis, DNA repair, tumor necrosis factor (TNF)-alpha signaling, activation of c-Jun N-terminal kinase MAPK8, regulation of histone acetylation, DNA damage checkpoint signaling, NF-kappa-B activation and cell migration. Canonically, it has an amino acid length of 307 residues and a mass of 35.1 kilodaltons. Its subcellular localization is in the nucleus and cytoplasm and it is widely expressed in many tissue types. The PP4C protein is a member of the PPP phosphatase protein family. Other alias names for PP4C include PP-X and PP4. Western Blot is the most common application for the PP4C antibodies listed below.
