Anti-PIM antibodies enable researchers to detect and measure the PIM antigen in biological samples. This target is a reported synonym of the PIM1 gene, which encodes Pim-1 proto-oncogene, serine/threonine kinase. This protein is known to function in the apoptotic pathway and the cell cycle, among other biological roles. The human version of PIM has a canonical amino acid length of 313 residues and a protein mass of 35.7 kilodaltons. It is reported to be localized in the cell membrane, nucleus, and cytoplasm of cells. PIM is a member of the CAMK Ser/Thr protein kinase protein family. Western Blot is the most common application for the PIM antibodies listed below. ELISA and Immunohistochemistry are also common applications.
