Anti-PIK fyve antibodies are used in antigen-specific immunodetection in biological samples. The target PIK fyve is a known alias name of the protein phosphoinositide kinase, FYVE-type zinc finger containing, encoded by the PIKFYVE gene in humans. This 2098-amino acid residue protein is known to be involved in intracellular signal transduction, among other biological processes. It is localized to the cytoplasmic vesicles and membrane of the cell and features phosphorylated post-translational modifications. Other synonyms for PIK fyve include 1-phosphatidylinositol 3-phosphate 5-kinase, PIPkin-III, and epididymis luminal protein 37. Western Blot is the most common application for the PIK fyve antibodies listed below. ELISA, Immunofluorescence, and Immunohistochemistry are also common applications.
