Anti-KMT8 antibodies are protein reagents that detect specific antigens. The KMT8 antigen is another term for the human protein PR/SET domain 2, encoded by the PRDM2 gene. The protein is known to function in the regulation of transcription, among other biological roles. Canonically, it has an amino acid length of 1718 residues and a mass of 188.9 kilodaltons. Its subcellular localization is in the nucleus and it is reported to be highly expressed in retinoblastoma cell lines and in the brain tumors. The KMT8 protein is a member of the Class V-like SAM-binding methyltransferase protein superfamily. Other alias names for KMT8 include HUMHOXY1 and KMT8A.
