Anti-IL-24 antibodies enable researchers to detect and measure the IL-24 antigen in biological samples. This target is a reported synonym of the IL24 gene, which encodes interleukin 24. This protein is known to function in the apoptotic pathway and the cellular response to lipopolysaccharides, among other biological roles. The human version of IL-24 has a canonical amino acid length of 206 residues and a protein mass of 23.8 kilodaltons, although 4 isoforms have been identified. It is reported to be a secreted protein. Other names for this target antigen include C49A, FISP, and IL10B.
