Anti-DCNP1 antibodies are used in antigen-specific immunodetection in biological samples. The target DCNP1 is a known alias name of the protein dendritic cell associated nuclear protein 1, encoded by the DCANP1 gene in humans. This 244-amino acid residue protein is known to bind with and transactivates the corticotropin-releasing hormone (CRH) promoter. It is localized to the nucleus and cytoplasm of the cell. In terms of tissue expression, it is reported to be expressed in neurons of the paraventricular nucleus, thalamus and occipital cortex and in glial cells.
