Anti-CAPG2 antibodies are used in antigen-specific immunodetection in biological samples. The target CAPG2 is a known alias name of the protein non-SMC condensin II complex subunit G2, encoded by the NCAPG2 gene in humans. This 1143-amino acid residue protein is a regulatory subunit of the condensin-2 complex, a complex which establishes mitotic chromosome architecture and is involved in physical rigidity of the chromatid axis. It is localized to the nucleus of the cell. It is reported to be widely expressed in many tissue types. The term 3KS is another synonym for CAPG2.
