Anti-QIP1 antibodies detect the protein encoded by the gene KPNA4, or 'karyopherin subunit alpha 4' in humans. The 521-amino acid protein is a member of the Importin alpha family. The cellular localization is predicted to be cytoplasmic and nuclear.
