Anti-PspA antibodies enable researchers to detect and measure the PspA antigen in biological samples. This target is a reported synonym of the SFTPA1 gene, which encodes surfactant protein A1. The human version of PspA has a canonical amino acid length of 248 residues and a protein mass of 26.2 kilodaltons, although 2 isoforms have been identified. It is reported to be localized in the extracellular matrix and is secreted of cells and notably expressed in the lung. PspA is a member of the SFTPA protein family.
