Anti-OKL38 antibodies are used in antigen-specific immunodetection in biological samples. The target OKL38 is a known alias name of the protein oxidative stress induced growth inhibitor 1, encoded by the OSGIN1 gene in humans. This 477-amino acid residue protein is reported to regulate the differentiation and proliferation through the regulation of cell death. In terms of tissue expression, it is ubiquitously expressed across many tissue types. Other synonyms for OKL38 include BDGI and BMSC-derived growth inhibitor.
