Anti-MBOAT5 antibodies are used in antigen-specific immunodetection in biological samples. The target MBOAT5 is a known alias name of the protein lysophosphatidylcholine acyltransferase 3, encoded by the LPCAT3 gene in humans. This 487-amino acid residue protein is a member of the Membrane-bound acyltransferase protein family. It is localized to the ER of the cell. In terms of tissue expression, it is reported to be highly expressed in the liver, pancreas and adipose tissue. Other synonyms for MBOAT5 include C3F, C3F, and LPCAT.
