Anti-Cdc50A antibodies enable researchers to detect and measure the Cdc50A antigen in biological samples. This target is a reported synonym of the TMEM30A gene, which encodes transmembrane protein 30A. This protein is known to function in the metabolism of lipids and neuronal development, among other biological roles. The human version of Cdc50A has a canonical amino acid length of 361 residues and a protein mass of 40.7 kilodaltons, although 3 isoforms have been identified. It is reported to be localized in the cytoplasmic vesicles, Golgi, and cell membrane of cells and widely expressed in many tissue types. Cdc50A is a member of the CDC50/LEM3 protein family.
