Anti-BSPII antibodies are used in antigen-specific immunodetection in biological samples. The target BSPII is a known alias name of the protein integrin binding sialoprotein, encoded by the IBSP gene in humans. This 317-amino acid residue protein is known to bind tightly to hydroxyapatite. The protein is secreted and features O-glycosylated, N-glycosylated and sulfated post-translational modifications. Other synonyms for BSPII include BNSP, BSP, and BSP-II. ELISA, Western Blot, and Immunohistochemistry are common applications for BSPII antibodies.
