Anti-Aladin antibodies enable researchers to detect and measure the Aladin antigen in biological samples. This target is a reported synonym of the AAAS gene, which encodes aladin WD repeat nucleoporin. This protein is known to function in protein transport, among other biological roles. The human version of Aladin has a canonical amino acid length of 546 residues and a protein mass of 59.6 kilodaltons, although 2 isoforms have been identified. It is reported to be localized in the nucleus and cytoplasm of cells and widely expressed in many tissue types. Other names for this target antigen include AAA, AAASb, and ADRACALA. These Aladin antibodies are widely used in Western Blot experiments, among other applications.
