Anti-CCP1 antibodies are used in antigen-specific immunodetection in biological samples. The target CCP1 is a known alias name of the protein ATP/GTP binding carboxypeptidase 1, encoded by the AGTPBP1 gene in humans. This 1226-amino acid residue protein is a reported metallocarboxypeptidase that mediates protein deglutamylation of tubulin and non-tubulin target proteins. It is localized to the nucleus, mitochondria, and cytoplasm of the cell. It is reported to be widely expressed in many tissue types.
