Anti-CD144 antibodies enable researchers to detect and measure the CD144 antigen in biological samples. This target is a reported synonym of the CDH5 gene, which encodes cadherin 5. This protein is known to function in cell adhesion, among other biological roles. The human version of CD144 has a canonical amino acid length of 784 residues and a protein mass of 87.5 kilodaltons, although 2 isoforms have been identified. It is reported to be localized in the cell membrane of cells and widely expressed in many tissue types. Other names for this target antigen include 7B4 and 7B4 antigen. A number of CD144 antibodies have been mentioned in research publications and have associated citations. Western Blot is a widely used application for these antibodies. ELISA and Immunohistochemistry are also common applications.
