Anti-LAR antibodies detect the protein encoded by the gene PTPRF, or 'protein tyrosine phosphatase receptor type F' in humans. The 1907-amino acid protein is a member of the Protein-tyrosine phosphatase family, Receptor class 2A subfamily. The cellular localization is predicted to be membrane-associated. Glycosylation sites have been reported.
