Anti-B71 antibodies are used in antigen-specific immunodetection in biological samples. The target B71 is a known alias name of the protein CD80 molecule, encoded by the CD80 gene in humans. This 288-amino acid residue protein is reported to be involved in costimulatory signal essential for T-lymphocyte activation. It is localized to the membrane of the cell and features glycosylated post-translational modifications. In terms of tissue expression, it is noted to be expressed on activated B-cells, macrophages and dendritic cells. Other synonyms for B71 include B7 and B7-1. These B71 antibodies are widely used in Flow Cytometry experiments, among other applications.
