Anti-NADP-ME antibodies are used in antigen-specific immunodetection in biological samples. The target NADP-ME is a known alias name of the protein malic enzyme 3, encoded by the ME3 gene in humans. This 604-amino acid residue protein is known to catalyze the oxidative decarboxylation of (S)-malate to pyruvate using NADP(+) as a cofactor. It is localized to the mitochondria of the cell. In terms of tissue expression, it is reported to be highly expressed in organs with a low-division rate. Other synonyms for NADP-ME include NADP-dependent malic enzyme, mitochondrial and malate dehydrogenase (oxaloacetate-decarboxylating) (NADP(+)). Indicated applications for NADP-ME antibodies listed below include ELISA and Western Blot.
