Anti-Bestrophin-3 Antibody Products

Anti-Bestrophin-3 antibodies are used for the immunodetection of the protein encoded by the BEST3 gene. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 668 amino acid residues and a mass of 76.1 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the cell membrane. Alternative splicing is reported to yield 5 different isoforms for this protein. It is a member of the Anion channel-forming bestrophin (TC 1.A.46) protein family. The bestrophin 3 marker can be used to characterize Oligodendrocyte Precursor Cells.* Other names for this target antigen include vitelliform macular dystrophy 2-like 3 and vitelliform macular dystrophy 2-like protein 3. Gene orthologs have been identified in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog, chimpanzee and chicken species.
