Anti-PCLP1 antibodies enable researchers to detect and measure the PCLP1 antigen in biological samples. This target is a reported synonym of the PODXL gene, which encodes podocalyxin like. This protein is known to function in cell adhesion and cell migration, among other biological roles. The human version of PCLP1 has a canonical amino acid length of 558 residues and a protein mass of 58.6 kilodaltons, although 2 isoforms have been identified. It is reported to be localized in the cell membrane of cells and notably expressed in the placenta, kidney, fallopian tube, endometrium, and cerebral cortex. Other names for this target antigen include Gp200, PC, and PCLP. ELISA, Western Blot, and Immunohistochemistry are common applications for PCLP1 antibodies.
