Anti-MIBP antibodies enable researchers to detect and measure the MIBP antigen in biological samples. This target is a reported synonym of the NMRK2 gene, which encodes nicotinamide riboside kinase 2. This protein is known to function in the regulation of cell differentiation and protein phosphorylation, among other biological roles. The human version of MIBP has a canonical amino acid length of 230 residues and a protein mass of 26 kilodaltons, although 2 isoforms have been identified. It is reported to be notably expressed in the skeletal muscle. This target antigen may also be known as ITGB1BP3.
