Anti-cGK antibodies enable researchers to detect and measure the cGK antigen in biological samples. This target is a reported synonym of the PRKG1 gene, which encodes protein kinase cGMP-dependent 1. This protein is known to function in cytoskeleton organization and dendrite development, among other biological roles. The human version of cGK has a canonical amino acid length of 671 residues and a protein mass of 76.4 kilodaltons, although 3 isoforms have been identified. It is reported to be localized in the cytoplasm of cells and widely expressed in many tissue types. Other names for this target antigen include AAT8, PKG, and PKG1. A number of cGK antibodies have been mentioned in research publications and have associated citations. Western Blot is a widely used application for these antibodies. In addition, Immunohistochemistry is also a common application.
