Anti-TMEM14B antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein transmembrane protein 14B. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 114 amino acid residues and a mass of 12.1 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the membrane. Up to 2 different isoforms have been reported for this protein. It is reported to be mainly expressed in the outer subventricular zone (OSVZ) of the fetal brains. A member of the TMEM14 protein family, TMEM14B is known to be a primate-specific protein involved in cortical expansion and folding in the developing neocortex. Western Blot is the most common application for the TMEM14B antibodies listed below. ELISA and Immunohistochemistry are also common applications.
