Anti-tetraspanin-33 antibodies are used in antigen-specific immunodetection in biological samples. The target tetraspanin-33 is a known alias name of the protein tetraspanin 33, encoded by the TSPAN33 gene in humans. This 283-amino acid residue protein is known to play an important role in normal erythropoiesis (By similarity). It is localized to the cell membrane and cytoplasm of the cell and features glycosylated post-translational modifications. In terms of tissue expression, it is reported to be highly expressed in the erythroblasts.
