Anti-RPN8 antibodies enable researchers to detect and measure the RPN8 antigen in biological samples. This target is a reported synonym of the PSMD7 gene, which encodes proteasome 26S subunit, non-ATPase 7. This protein is a known component of the 26S proteasome, a multiprotein complex involved in the ATP-dependent degradation of ubiquitinated proteins. The human version of RPN8 has a canonical amino acid length of 324 residues and a protein mass of 37 kilodaltons. It is reported to be widely expressed in many tissue types.
