Anti-IGRP antibodies enable researchers to detect and measure the IGRP antigen in biological samples. This target is a reported synonym of the G6PC2 gene, which encodes glucose-6-phosphatase catalytic subunit 2. This protein is known to function in carbohydrate metabolism and homeostasis, among other biological roles. The human version of IGRP has a canonical amino acid length of 355 residues and a protein mass of 40.6 kilodaltons, although 3 isoforms have been identified. It is reported to be localized in the ER of cells. IGRP is a member of the Glucose-6-phosphatase protein family.
