Anti-HEXO antibodies are used in antigen-specific immunodetection in biological samples. The target HEXO is a known alias name of the protein exoribonuclease 1, encoded by the ERI1 gene in humans. This 349-amino acid residue protein is reported to be a RNA exonuclease that binds to the 3'-end of histone mRNAs and degrades them, suggesting that it plays an essential role in histone mRNA decay after replication. It is localized to the nucleus and cytoplasm of the cell. Indicated applications for HEXO antibodies listed below include ELISA, Western Blot, and Immunohistochemistry.
