Anti-BLP antibodies enable researchers to detect and measure the BLP antigen in biological samples. This target is a reported synonym of the DYNLRB1 gene, which encodes dynein light chain roadblock-type 1. This protein is known to act as one of several non-catalytic accessory components of the cytoplasmic dynein 1 complex that are thought to be involved in linking dynein to cargos and to adapter proteins that regulate dynein function. The human version of BLP has a canonical amino acid length of 96 residues and a protein mass of 10.9 kilodaltons, although 2 isoforms have been identified. It is reported to be localized in the cytoplasm of cells and widely expressed in many tissue types. BLP is a member of the GAMAD protein family. Indicated applications for BLP antibodies listed below include ELISA and Western Blot.
