Anti-AMELY antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein amelogenin Y-linked. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 206 amino acid residues and a mass of 23.3 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the extracellular matrix and is secreted. Up to 2 different isoforms have been reported for this protein. A member of the Amelogenin protein family, AMELY is reported to play a role in biomineralization. Synonyms for this target antigen include AMGY, amelogenin, Y isoform, amelogenin (Y chromosome), and AMGL. These AMELY antibodies are widely used in Western Blot experiments, among other applications.
