Anti-Granzyme M antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein encoded by the GZMM gene. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 257 amino acid residues and a mass of 27.5 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the cytoplasm and is also secreted. A member of the Peptidase S1 protein family, it is known to be involved with the apoptotic pathway and innate immune responses. Post-translational modifications have been described, including glycosylation. Other names for this target antigen include MET1, HU-Met-1, Met-1 serine protease, lymphocyte met-ase 1, met-ase, and LMET1.
