Anti-OPHN1 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein oligophrenin 1. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 802 amino acid residues and a mass of 91.6 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the cytoplasm. Up to 2 different isoforms have been reported for this protein. It is reported to be expressed in the brain. OPHN1 is known to be involved with cytoskeleton organization and axon guidance. The OPHN1 marker can be used to identify Hepatic Progenitor Cells.* Synonyms for this target antigen include MRX60, MRXSBL, OPN1, oligophrenin-1, Rho-GTPase activating protein, and ARHGAP41. OPHN1 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog, zebrafish, chimpanzee and chicken species.
