Anti-LRP1B antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein LDL receptor related protein 1B. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 4599 amino acid residues and a mass of 515.5 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the membrane. It is reported to be expressed in thyroid gland and in salivary gland, as well as in adult and fetal brain. A member of the LDLR protein family, LRP1B is known to be involved with protein transport. Post-translational modifications have been described, including glycosylation. Synonyms for this target antigen include LRPDIT, low-density lipoprotein receptor-related protein 1B, LRP-deleted in tumors, low density lipoprotein receptor related protein-deleted in tumor, and LRP-DIT. LRP1B gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog, zebrafish, chimpanzee and chicken species. A number of LRP1B antibodies have been mentioned in research publications and have associated citations. Western Blot is a widely used application for these antibodies. ELISA and Immunohistochemistry are also common applications.
