Anti-HES7 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein hes family bHLH transcription factor 7. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 225 amino acid residues and a mass of 24.9 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the nucleus. Up to 2 different isoforms have been reported for this protein. HES7 is known to be a type of transcriptional repressor. The HES7 gene has been associated with the disease, Spondylocostal dysostosis. Synonyms for this target antigen include bHLH factor Hes7, class B basic helix-loop-helix protein 37, hairy and enhancer of split 7, and transcription factor HES-7. HES7 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine and chimpanzee species. Western Blot is the most common application for the HES7 antibodies listed below. Immunofluorescence and Immunohistochemistry are also common applications.
