Anti-SAP30L antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein SAP30 like. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 183 amino acid residues and a mass of 20.9 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the nucleus. Up to 3 different isoforms have been reported for this protein. It is notably expressed in the brain and ovary, and at lower levels in the heart, small intestine, lung, kidney, skeletal muscle, stomach and spleen. A member of the SAP30 protein family, SAP30L is known to function as transcription repressor, probably via its interaction with histone deacetylase complexes. Synonyms for this target antigen include HCV non-structural protein 4A-transactivated protein 2, Sin3A associated protein p30-like, sin3 corepressor complex subunit SAP30L, and histone deacetylase complex subunit SAP30L. SAP30L gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog, zebrafish, chimpanzee and chicken species. Some SAP30L antibodies may have been used in research and have associated citations. Western Blot is a widely used application for these antibodies. In addition, ELISA is also a common application.
