Anti-TFIIS antibodies enable researchers to detect and measure the TFIIS antigen in biological samples. This target is a reported synonym of the TCEA2 gene, which encodes transcription elongation factor A2. This protein is known to function in the regulation of transcription, among other biological roles. The human version of TFIIS has a canonical amino acid length of 299 residues and a protein mass of 33.6 kilodaltons, although 2 isoforms have been identified. It is reported to be localized in the nucleus of cells and widely expressed in many tissue types. TFIIS is a member of the TFS-II protein family.
