Anti-SPCA1 antibodies are used in antigen-specific immunodetection in biological samples. The target SPCA1 is a known alias name of the protein ATPase secretory pathway Ca2+ transporting 1, encoded by the ATP2C1 gene in humans. This 919-amino acid residue protein is reported to be an ATP-driven pump that supplies the Golgi apparatus with Ca(2+) and Mn(2+) ions, both essential cofactors for processing and trafficking of newly synthesized proteins in the secretory pathway. It is localized to the Golgi of the cell. It is reported to be widely expressed in many tissue types. Other synonyms for SPCA1 include ATP2C1A, ATP2C1A, and BCPM. Indicated applications for SPCA1 antibodies listed below include ELISA, Western Blot, Immunofluorescence, and Immunohistochemistry.
