Anti-smMLCK antibodies are used in antigen-specific immunodetection in biological samples. The target smMLCK is a known alias name of the protein myosin light chain kinase, encoded by the MYLK gene in humans. This 1914-amino acid residue protein is known to be involved in the transport of ions and the regulation of cell migration, among other biological processes. It is localized to the cytoplasm of the cell and features acetylated and phosphorylated post-translational modifications. It is reported to be expressed in the skin, rectum, kidney, endometrium, and breast. Western Blot is the most common application for the smMLCK antibodies listed below. ELISA and Immunohistochemistry are also common applications.
