Anti-SUT-1 antibodies enable researchers to detect and measure the SUT-1 antigen in biological samples. This target is a reported synonym of the SLC13A4 gene, which encodes solute carrier family 13 member 4. This protein is reported to be a sodium:sulfate symporter that mediates sulfate reabsorption in the high endothelial venules (HEV). The human version of SUT-1 has a canonical amino acid length of 626 residues and a protein mass of 69.4 kilodaltons. It is reported to be localized in the membrane of cells and notably expressed in soft tissue, retina, placenta, epididymis, and cerebral cortex. This target antigen may also be known as NAS2.
