Anti-Sis antibodies enable researchers to detect and measure the Sis antigen in biological samples. This target is a reported synonym of the PDGFB gene, which encodes platelet derived growth factor subunit B. This protein is known to function in cardiac tissue development, among other biological roles. The human version of Sis has a canonical amino acid length of 241 residues and a protein mass of 27.3 kilodaltons. It is reported to be a secreted protein that is widely expressed in many tissue types. Other names for this target antigen include IBGC5, PDGF-2, and PDGF2. Western Blot is the most common application for the Sis antibodies listed below. ELISA and Immunohistochemistry are also common applications.
