Anti-TASK-1 antibodies are used in antigen-specific immunodetection in biological samples. The target TASK-1 is a known alias name of the protein potassium two pore domain channel subfamily K member 3, encoded by the KCNK3 gene in humans. This 394-amino acid residue protein is known to be involved in brain development and the cellular response to hypoxia, among other biological processes. It is localized to the cell membrane of the cell and features glycosylated post-translational modifications. In terms of tissue expression, it is reported to be widely expressed in adult.
