Anti-SEC16S antibodies are protein reagents that detect specific antigens. The SEC16S antigen is another term for the human protein SEC16 homolog B, endoplasmic reticulum export factor, encoded by the SEC16B gene. The protein is reported to play a role in the organization of the endoplasmic reticulum exit sites (ERES), also known as transitional endoplasmic reticulum (tER). Canonically, it has an amino acid length of 1060 residues and a mass of 116.6 kilodaltons. Its subcellular localization is in the ER and Golgi and it is ubiquitously expressed across many tissue types. The SEC16S protein is a member of the SEC16 protein family.
