Anti-MSGN1 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein mesogenin 1. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 193 amino acid residues and a mass of 20.8 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the nucleus. MSGN1 is known to be involved in specifying the paraxial, but not dorsal, mesoderm. Synonyms for this target antigen include pMesogenin1 and paraxial mesoderm-specific mesogenin1. MSGN1 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog, zebrafish, chimpanzee and chicken species. Immunofluorescence is the most common application for the Msgn1 antibodies listed below. Western Blot, Immunocytochemistry, and Immunohistochemistry are also common applications.
