Anti-SEC5 antibodies are used in antigen-specific immunodetection in biological samples. The target SEC5 is a known alias name of the protein exocyst complex component 2, encoded by the EXOC2 gene in humans. This 924-amino acid residue protein is a known component of the exocyst complex involved in the docking of exocytic vesicles with fusion sites on the plasma membrane. In terms of tissue expression, it is reported to be widely expressed with highest levels in the brain and placenta. Western Blot is a widely used application for the SEC5 antibodies listed below. In addition, ELISA is also a common application.
