Anti-Negative elongation factor complex member E antibodies are directed against the protein encoded by the gene NELFE in humans. The gene may also be known as D6S45, NELF-E, RD, RDBP, negative elongation factor E, and RD RNA-binding protein. Structurally, the protein is reported to be 43.2 kilodaltons in mass. Based on gene name, fly, canine, porcine, monkey, mouse and rat orthologs may also be found.
